George graduated Capitol Hill High School in 1953. He then married Martha Muzny November 26, 1954. George and Martha have 6 children and 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. George and Martha attend St. Andrews Catholic Church in Moore. George is a alter server and a Eucharist minister.
In the last 18 years District 2 has rebuilt and resealed over 300 miles of section line roads. In 2008 District 2 rebuilt 180th between Maguire Road, and Cemetary Road. District 2 has also rebuilt 164th, 156th to 168th Street. It also has resealed 35.25 miles of section line roads.
Planned for 2009, Rebuilding 180th from Hwy 9 to Maguire Road, and Indian Hills Road, from 96th Street to 108th Street.
Commissioners also set on many boards and committees.
George is chairman of the County Health Board. Chief local elected official to the Workforce Investment Board and the Workforce Development Board. He is also Vice-President of McKenzie Garden #1 and #2 board. Board member of Community Service Building Incorporated. Vice-Chairman for Board of the Counties Self Insurance Program General Liability and Workers Compensation.
